CAROL GUINASSO
Competitive, Scholarships & Special Projects Grants Associate

Carol Guinasso supports the grants administration department for Silicon Valley Community Foundation working specifically with competitive, scholarship and special project grants.

Previously, Carol worked for 12 years at Peninsula Community Foundation and was a senior program associate in the community programs department. She supported two program officers specifically on the portfolios for arts and culture, health and wellness, and supporting families.

Prior to joining the community foundation, Carol worked at Bank of America for 15 years. There, she had various roles and responsibilities including human resources and office management for the residential loan division, coordinating international and national new hire and staff relocations, employment of temps and the relocation of the office from San Mateo to Fremont.

Five years ago she returned to school, enrolling in an accelerated program designed for working adults. She graduated from Saint Mary’s College of California with a bachelor’s degree in business management.

A San Francisco native, Carol has made San Mateo County her home for more than 20 years. Carol is often seen volunteering at community festivals, walk-a-thons and alumni fundraising events. When she is not working, Carol enjoys walking the neighborhood and spending time with her husband, family and friends.
