As director of planned giving, Daniel Hoebeke is responsible for helping donors support their philanthropic interests through planned gifts such as bequests, charitable remainder trust and charitable lead trusts. Daniel also manages gifts of real estate to the Real Estate Trust at Silicon Valley Community Foundation and works with its distinguished board of advisors.

Daniel joined the community foundation in 2007, bringing with him an extensive legal and practical background in all phases of charitable giving and estate planning. His professional background is highly diverse, including experience as a private legal practitioner, administrative trust officer, charitable fundraiser, planning consultant and personal philanthropy advisor. He was most recently the charitable gift planner at San José State University.

Daniel has spoken and written extensively on topics related to charitable estate planning and his entertaining, informative seminars have been accepted for continuing professional education credits from coast to coast. Daniel currently sits on the boards of directors for the Silicon Valley Planned Giving Counsel and Legal Advocates for Permanent Parenting, also known as LAPP. He is also the chief financial officer of Adopt-a-Chaplain, Inc., a nonprofit he co-founded, which provides tangible support to deployed troops.

Daniel lives in West San José with his wife Ellen. Together they have three children and two grandchildren who periodically return to take advantage of a full refrigerator and operating laundry facilities.
