KARYN CILKER
PROFESSIONAL ADVISOR RELATIONS OFFICER

As professional advisor relations officer, Karyn is Silicon Valley Community Foundation’s main point of contact for professional advisors. She works with attorneys, financial planners, accountants, and other advisors as a resource for their clients. Karyn works with each advisor in considering clients’ questions and needs, and acts as a hub to strategically connect each case with the appropriate staff person within the foundation. She manages educational and outreach opportunities for advisors as well as recognition events, and meets with advisors to discuss how the foundation can help them help their clientele.

Karyn joined Community Foundation Silicon Valley after graduating from Santa Clara University. Her work at CFSV was primarily in the development department where she worked with professional advisors and individual donors, coordinated events, and assisted a portfolio of fundholders in managing their philanthropy.

Karyn is the new membership chair of the Silicon Valley Rotaract Club. She is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Silicon Valley Chapter and is its chair for National Philanthropy Day 2007. Karyn’s roots are in the San José area and she enjoys giving back to her community.
