DIRECTOR, PENINSULA PARTNERSHIP LEADERSHIP COUNCIL

Larry is the director for the Peninsula Partnership Leadership Council, a group of multi-disciplinary leaders whose purpose is to formulate and support policy efforts that effectively address the needs of children and youth in San Mateo County.

Larry has a passion for bringing talented people together. Additionally, he has over twenty years of experience in community and government relations, nonprofit administration, policy development and advocacy with a focus on children, youth and family issues.

Prior to the community foundation, he was an independent consultant working with the Foundation Consortium for California's Children and Youth, Kaiser Permanente and United Behavioral Health. Previously, he served as the vice president, community building and results accountability with the Northern California Council for the Community. Before coming to the Bay Area, Larry was a director of public policy for a national association of behavioral healthcare providers and a policy associate for the National Mental Health Association in Washington, D.C.

Larry holds a master of science degree in political science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University.

Larry lives in the city of Alameda with his partner and their two young children. One of his favorite things to do is to go to Alameda's Crown Beach and play in the water with his kids. He also enjoys co-leading services and singing in the choir at Congregation Shaar Zahav in San Francisco.
