Lee Phoenix
executive assistant to the chief administrative officer

Lee Phoenix is the executive assistant to the chief administrative officer. Prior to coming to Silicon Valley Community Foundation, Lee lived in Normal, Illinois. She spent 20 years at a nonprofit hospital as a psychiatric and obstetrical nurse and then as the Community Health Education Coordinator where she was very active in community outreach programs for United Way, American Heart and the Komen Foundation. She also owned a wellness center for eight years where she had a very busy neuromuscular therapy and teaching practice.

Lee has a bachelor’s degree in health education and nursing from Illinois State University and a master’s degree in organizational psychology.

In 2007, Lee finally fulfilled her heart’s desire by moving to California. She currently lives in San Carlos with her partner and her son who attends the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

In her spare time, Lee is a passionate reader, loves to dance and plays a mean game of scrabble. She enjoys spending her weekends exploring all the beautiful places California has to offer.
