Michelle Fries
DONOR ENGAGEMENT OFFICER

As donor engagement officer, Michelle provides philanthropic support to a portfolio of institutional funds at the community foundation including supporting organizations, city affiliates, committee advised funds, and nonprofit and designated funds.   

Michelle joined Peninsula Community Foundation in 2003 as a team member of the Peninsula Partnership for Children, Youth and Families ™.  Michelle has worked to manage and monitor several projects and initiatives including the School Readiness Initiative, San Mateo County Children’s Report, School Readiness Assessment, Preschool for All and Early Childhood Mental Health.

Michelle has over 13 years experience in the nonprofit world; including experience working with community foundations and private foundations and working in the field of early childhood education. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology/human development with a focus in early childhood and a Master of Education in conflict resolution and peaceable schools.    

Michelle’s greatest joy is her daughter, Kai.  She feels most at peace spending time in nature and enjoys traveling to new places.
