Robert A. Bassine
Vice President, Human Resources
As vice president of human resources, Robert is responsible for directing and managing all aspects of the community foundation’s human resources function. This includes the organization’s compliance with all local, state and federal employment/labor laws, rules and regulations as well as developing and implementing personnel policies and procedures. Robert is also responsible for facilitating talent acquisition and retention, developing and managing all company benefit and compensation programs, providing training and development for all staff, and developing employee activities and recognition programs.
Robert is a graduate of the University of California, Riverside, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in both history and psychology. He entered the field of human resources nearly 20 years ago. Prior to joining the community foundation, he spent three years working as director of human resources for the San Francisco Opera and nearly 16 years with California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, California.
Robert resides in San Francisco but is looking forward to relocating to the Silicon Valley. He supports a number of arts and community service programs in San Francisco and enjoys spending his free time reading, walking, cooking and traveling.
