Debra Engel is a board member and adviser to a number of companies and nonprofit organizations in Silicon Valley. She currently serves on the board of directors for the Concours Group and the advisory boards for Advanced-HR, GPT3, ITM Software and the Jackson Hole Group. Debra serves as a board member for the Center for Excellence in Nonprofits, the Healthtrust, the eBay Foundation, the Entrepreneur’s Foundation, the Skoll Fund and Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence. She also serves on the advisory board for Facing History and Ourselves and the SHRM foundation. Debra is a senior fellow of the American Leadership Forum, an executive fellow for the Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Santa Clara University, a trustee for the National Academy of Human Resources Foundation and an emeritus member of the California Strategic Human Resource Partnership.

Debra formerly served as senior vice president for corporate services for 3Com, corporate staffing manager at Hewlett Packard and human resources manager for Hewlett Packard’s Avondale Division. Debra holds a master of science in industrial relations from Iowa State University. She was recognized as outstanding volunteer fundraiser in 2002 by the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Debra is also a member of the National Academy of Human Resources and the Junior Achievement business hall of fame.
