NARENDRA (NAREN) K. GUPTA
Vice Chairman, Wind River

Naren Gupta co-founded Integrated Systems Inc. in 1980 to develop and market products for embedded software development. Naren served as president and CEO until 1994, took the company public in 1990 and served as chairman until 2000. Integrated Systems merged with Wind River in 2000, where Naren serves as vice chairman. Naren also serves on the boards Tibco Software, Quick Eagle Networks and other privately-held companies. He is active in the community as a board member for the America India Foundation and as president of IIT Delhi Excellence Foundation.

Naren received a bachelor of science from Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi, a master of science from the California Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. from Stanford University, all in engineering. Among numerous accolades, Naren received the Earle C. Anthony Fellowship at California Institute of Technology and the Donald P. Eckman Award from American Automatic Control Council for outstanding contributions to control engineering. Naren lives with his wife Vinita, chairman/CEO Quick Eagle Networks, and their two daughters in Woodside.
