Denise Bridges
Communications Associate

Denise Bridges supports all of the community foundation's internal and external marketing and communications activities. She is responsible for story planning and editing e-newsletters as well as production of advertising, special reports and requests for proposals. Previously, Denise supported donor services for Community Foundation Silicon Valley and the Silicon Valley Social Venture Fund, also known as SV2.

Prior to joining Silicon Valley Community Foundation, Denise was an experienced fundraiser and event planner for various nonprofit organizations. In 2004, Denise joined AmeriCorps *VISTA for a year of national service where she fundraised and developed community health and service programs for San José State University's Center for Service-Learning. Afterward she served as development associate for Filipino Community Support. She also previously worked in the development and human resources departments at The Health Trust and supported sponsorship and event management for the 2005 Women’s Health Conference.

Passionate about women's issues, she serves on the board of the Eating Disorders Resource Center. Denise graduated from University of California, Los Angeles with a bachelor’s degree in international development studies. A first-generation Bay Area native, she enjoys supporting her alma mater during football and basketball season, discovering new restaurants, and attending musicals and concerts. Denise currently lives in Danville with her husband Clarence.
