Lydia Sirotka
Satelite Reception & Conference Center Coordinator, San Mateo
Lydia Sirotka serves as Silicon Valley Community Foundation's conference center
coordinator for the San Mateo office and Peninsula conference center facility. Lydia is responsible for
managing all internal and external reservations for the Peninsula conference center. She is the key point
of contact for various vendors and for those requesting use of the community foundation's facilities.
With more than 20 years of office and facilities management experience in the private
sector, Lydia began her career in the nonprofit sector in 1987 at Samaritan House. Witnessing client needs
first hand and using her command of the Spanish, Ukrainian and Russian languages she was able to be an effective
ambassador to the local community. In 1999, Lydia joined Peninsula Community Foundation and worked as office
manager for nine years.
Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina with Slavic parents, Lydia lives in San Mateo
with her husband while remodeling a bed-and-breakfast vacation rental property in Calistoga.
In her spare time, Lydia enjoys traveling, entertaining, gardening and occasionally
playing an old tune on the mandolin.
