Nida Crisostomo
Director of Finance and Operations, Raising A Reader

Nida started as an accountant for Raising A Reader in March 2007. She served as an ally between the community foundation’s accounting department and Raising A Reader. A half year later, she was hired as a senior accountant to oversee the propriety and accuracy of Raising A Reader’s financial statements. In 2009 Nida was promoted to director of finance and operations.

Nida earned her Bachelor of Science in accountancy and master’s in business administration from Saint Louis College-Philippines. After passing her CPA board exams, she worked as an accountant at SGV & Co, the Philippine’s largest multi-disciplinary professional services firm and an affiliate of Ernst & Young. She also served her alma mater as an accounting college instructor while employed as an auditor of the Commission on Audit, the Philippine government’s auditing agency. Several years later, she decided to join her family in United States. She was hired as a bookkeeper of Keystone Restaurant Supply, staff accountant of Santa Clara County Fairgrounds Management Corporation and accounting manager of Delectables, Inc.

She considers herself a very proud mother of her only daughter, Maria Therese. For her, the happiest people don’t necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything.
