Tim Beggs
Compliance & Analysis Officer

Tim is responsible for managing the compliance and regulatory requirements of the community foundation’s donor advised, nonprofit, scholarship and special project funds and supporting organizations. He also provides administrative oversight for the community foundation’s public policy and advocacy initiatives and is responsible for approving international equivalency determination and expenditure responsibility grants.

Previously at Silicon Valley Community Foundation, Tim served as the gifts administration officer. In that role, he directly led and managed the processing and recording of liquid and illiquid gifts, special project funds and accounts receivables.

Tim graduated from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in American politics. Prior to joining the community foundation, he worked for several federal and state legislators and candidates for public office, in Washington D.C. and throughout the West Coast.

Tim is a fourth-generation Bay Area native, who grew up in the East Bay and currently lives in San Jose. In addition to his continued interest in politics, he is an amateur presidential historian and San Francisco Giants fan.
