Senior Development Officer

Andrew CopeAndrew joined Silicon Valley Community Foundation in 2012 as a senior development officer.  His primary role is to help individuals, corporations, and nonprofit organizations achieve their philanthropic goals through engagement with the community foundation’s many services.  He has two decades of development experience with leading nonprofits.

Prior to joining the community foundation, Andrew served as director of advancement for Children’s Health Council in Palo Alto, where he managed their development, communications, and volunteer programs.  Before joining Children’s Health Council, Andrew spent sixteen years in development and alumni relations roles for Stanford University, Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health, and Kenyon College.

Andrew graduated from Kenyon College and has served his alma mater as a class fundraising volunteer for more than twenty years.  When he’s outside of the office, he enjoys exploring the San Francisco Bay Area’s amazing natural landscape with his wife and two boys.  As a native of the Boston area, he also maintains a warm spot in his heart for all of the New England sports teams.
