Community Opportunity Fund

Supporting time-sensitive community issues, currently focused on safety-net services

The economic recession that began in 2008 continues to adversely affect many people in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. The inability to pay for such basic needs as food and shelter is creating enormous stress on individuals and families and on nonprofits in the region that are seeing client caseloads soar.

The Community Opportunity Fund targets the need for essential safety-net needs, such as access to food, shelter, homeless prevention services and emergency assistance for low-income and vulnerable individuals, families and seniors.
