OUR COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY
When we launched as a new community foundation on Jan. 1, 2007 we placed diversity among our guiding principles. We seek to live out these principles by ensuring that the staff we hire, the projects we implement and the grantmaking work we do reflect the many cultures of our region. Today, the community foundation partners with diverse groups of more than 1,500 individuals, families, nonprofits and corporations. In doing so, we partner with the world and are able to make a difference in our local communities and beyond. This page includes information from data we collected for others about how we are committed to diversity among our staff and leadership and our endowment grantmaking. We will continue to update this page and add information as it becomes available.
The following is a list of recent grants from the new community foundation’s endowment funds to organizations or programs serving ethnically diverse populations. These grants were awarded between Oct. 1, 2007 and March 31, 2008. If your organization serves ethnically diverse organizations and received a grant during this period, but is not included on this list, please contact us at email@example.com.
