Alearn Santa Clara Third-year support for the MAP program, a 19-day, 75-hour intensive mathematics skills improvement program for 600 rising 7th grade middle school students who have scored at the upper Below Basic, Basic and low Proficient levels. $70,000
Breakthrough Silicon Valley Santa Clara Support for the Breakthrough Math Institute, a 6-week summer and after school mathematics academic program that serves highly motivated rising 6th-8th grade students who score "Proficient" on the CST but are tracked out of 9th grade geometry. $50,000
Citizen Schools California Santa Clara and San Mateo counties Third-year support for Preparing Students for Success in Middle School and Beyond,an after-school mathematics intervention program for 540 rising 6th and 7th grade students at five campuses. The program seeks to boost student readiness for Algebra 1 in the 8th grade by improving math skills, increasing the relevancy of math for students through STEM apprenticeships and by providing college and career readiness skills. $50,000
Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley Santa Clara Second-year support for the Algebra Review Project, which provides an Algebra I intervention program for 200 8th grade lower-performing students who are mostly Latino and English learners. The program will provide 3-hour Saturday review sessions twice per month during the school year . $50,000
William C. Overfelt High School Santa Clara Support for a summer bridge program to accelerate 90 incoming 9th graders into Geometry and 90 into Algebra II  to increase four-year college attendance and college readiness. $50,000
The Peninsula Bridge Program Santa Clara and San Mateo Fourth-year support to provide more than 350 students at seven sites with an intensive five-week summer intervention program. The program entails a four-year commitment to participating students for each summer between their 4th and 8th grade years. $50,000
San Mateo Union High School District San Mateo Fourth-year support for the Summer Bridge to Algebra Success program, which seeks to improve the readiness of 120 lower performing rising 9th grade students for high school algebra by addressing essential algebra concepts as well as other factors necessary for students’ success. $85,000
Redwood City Education Foundation San Mateo Fourth-year support for the Pre-Algebra Summer Math Institute, a four-week, four hour per day summer institute for 60 lower-performing students in which a teacher-team delivers instruction in fundamental skills and concepts necessary for successful entry into and completion of Algebra 1 in 8th grade. $50,892
La Honda Pescadero Unified School District San Mateo Fourth-year support for a four-week, daily intensive math intervention summer program for 20 rising 7th, 8th and 9th graders whose mathematics proficiency is below grade level. $27,000
The 49ers After School Academy San Mateo Third-year support for the 49ers After School Math Academy, a four-hour per week after-school program that will serve 40 under-performing students at the 49ers Academy. $35,000
Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula San Mateo Second-year support for the Summer CNG Math Program to provide 60 middle school students (grades 6 through 8) in East Palo Alto, east Menlo Park and Redwood City with a five-week intensive math instruction program that includes hands-on math related work. $35,000
