Holly KreiderAs director of programs, Holly is responsible for overseeing all aspects of programming, including program quality and improvement, affiliate relations, training, and research and evaluation.

Before joining Raising A Reader, Holly served as vice president of research and communications at Sociometrics Corporation, a firm that develops and disseminates social science-based products to researchers, health educators and other professionals. At Sociometrics, Holly led large-scale, federally-funded projects related to children's health, mental health and early childhood education, as well as private sector contracts related to parent leadership and family engagement.

Prior to that, Holly served as a research associate and project manager at the Harvard Family Research Project. At HFRP she co-founded the Family Involvement Network of Educators, an online network of more than 8,000 professionals dedicated to family-school-community partnerships. She also directed family involvement research, professional development and writing activities. She is the author/editor of two books and more than 50 articles and reports.

Holly is a Sunnyvale native. She earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of California at Los Angeles and a master's and doctoral degree in human development and psychology from Harvard University. She and her two school-age daughters count shared book reading among their favorite family activities.
