Investment Associate, Investments

As an investment associate at Silicon Valley Community Foundation, James works closely with the vice president of investments in supporting the day-to-day administration of investments and stewardship of planned gift assets. James is responsible for performance reporting, transaction processing, investment valuations and audit support. He serves as a principal liaison with custodian banks, investment back offices and third-party administrators.

James holds a bachelor's of science degree from University of Massachusetts in Amherst. He began his investment career at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management as an investment performance associate where he was responsible for performance reporting and providing support to the wealth management team. Prior to joining the community foundation, James was a portfolio administrator for a hedge fund and boutique wealth management firm where he handled account administration, corporate actions, portfolio re-balancing and executed trade orders.

In his spare time, he enjoys exploring scenic hiking trails, brewing the perfect espresso shot and watching the Discovery Channel. He is a native of New York but now calls the Bay Area home.
