Kim A. Pocek

Administrative Assistant, Raising A Reader

Kim provides general administrative, office management, and project support to the Raising A Reader team. She also supports the executive director and the Raising A Reader Board of Directors.

Prior to working at Raising A Reader, Kim spent several years working at museums and nonprofit art organizations in San Jose including MACLA/Movimiento de Arte y Cultura Latino Americana as the Communications and Data Coordinator. She also most recently worked at the San Jose Museum of Art (SJMA) in the Museum Experience and Education Department. You may still find her at SJMA helping out on the occasional weekend.

Kim received her bachelor's degree in cultural anthropology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Kim's lifelong love of reading and her interest in supporting nonprofits brought her to Raising A Reader. Outside of work Kim enjoys art, movies, baking, hiking and biking.
