Linda Fairfax

Controller

As Controller, Linda is responsible for the accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, tax preparation, cash management and financial analysis at the national office. Linda joined Raising A Reader in October, 2010 as a financial consultant, and accepted the position of Controller in May, 2011.

Prior to joining Raising A Reader, Linda spent seven years at Montalvo Arts Center, most recently as the Director of Finance and Operations. At Montalvo her finance duties included monthly and annual financial reporting and analysis, the annual audit, the annual budgeting process and periodic updated forecasts.

Prior to Montalvo Linda spent eleven years at Raychem Corporation, most recently as the Division Controller of a major business unit.

A native of the Pacific Northwest, Linda is a graduate of Whitman College in Washington State. She is married and has two almost grown sons. Linda enjoys spending time with her family, particularly outdoor adventures hiking, skiing, canoeing, and camping.
