Misti Sangani
Donor Engagement Officer
As a donor engagement officer, Misti works closely with philanthropists and their donor advised funds to deepen their learning, giving and engagement with groups and issues that reflect their values.
For the last 20 years, Misti has devoted her career to championing, funding and building non-profit groups that work to better their communities. Most recently, she was the executive director of the Foundation for Sustainable Development, an international service learning organization. Prior to joining FSD, Misti served as the vice president of programs and evaluation at the Global Fund for Women, an international foundation that funds women's groups worldwide. During her tenure at the Global Fund, Misti managed and participated in two donor circles - initiatives that embraced complex issues and deepened mutual understanding for both donors and grantees.
Misti holds an M.A. in international relations from Boston University and a B.A. in international relations and political science from the University of Southern California.
Misti has served on the boards of the USC Alumni Association, the Women’s Funding Network, and the Network of South Asian Professionals in the Bay Area.
She lives in Los Altos with her husband, two young and ever-curious daughters, and adorable golden retriever. She loves to travel and treasures her time with her family.
