Richard is responsible for researching and processing both international and domestic grant recommendations. He conducts due diligence and verifies grant compliance. He also prepares and mails grant award letters and assists donors and nonprofits with questions and requests.

Richard earned a bachelor’s degree from San Jose State University with a major in accounting information systems. Prior to joining the community foundation, he worked with various high tech companies as an accounting specialist.

Richard was born in San Francisco and is a proud fan of the San Francisco 49ers and Giants. He volunteers each year with the Bliss and Wisdom Youth Camp and also attends spiritual classes weekly. Richard is also known as the favorite uncle by his 12 nephews and two nieces.
