Rui Zhou

Executive Assistant to the Chief Philanthropic Development and Information Officer

Rui Zhou supports the chief philanthropic development and information officer at Silicon Valley Community Foundation.

Prior to joining the community foundation, Rui worked as the executive assistant and office manager at Accelergy Corporation, a clean tech start-up in San Jose.

Born and raised in Shanghai, China, Rui studied fashion design in college and was an interior designer before joining Kohler Company in its Shanghai office. She managed Kohler tradeshows, events and showroom programs as well as advertising campaigns in the eastern China region. She immigrated to Canada in 1999 and earned her Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto.

Rui loves the arts, music, traveling, cooking and antiques. Her favorite artists are Vincent van Gogh and Claude Monet.
