Assistant Manager, Marketing and Communications, Raising A Reader

As the assistant manager for marketing and communications for Raising A Reader, Simin coordinates and supports communications and marketing strategy, maintains the organization website and databases, and provides technical assistance.

Simin started her work at Raising A Reader as an intern in late 2008. The previous year, she graduated from San Francisco State University as a presidential scholar and earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, with an emphasis in sociology. She is a believer in volunteer work and has given her time as an English tutor and assisting disabled children through equine therapy.

In her spare time, Simin enjoys relaxing with her family; dabbling in the domestic arts of knitting, crocheting, cooking, and reading.
