Steve Bennett is the chairman of the board of Symantec and served as president and CEO of Intuit from 2000 through 2007.

At Intuit, Steve combined the company's historic innovative and customer-driven expertise with strategic and operational rigor. Under his leadership, Intuit grew its existing businesses while simultaneously expanding into new markets and was on Fortune Magazine’s “Best Companies to Work For’’ list for six consecutive years.

Steve joined Intuit after a 23-year career in key roles at General Electric, where he managed complex and diverse organizations from consumer appliances to financial services.

He currently serves on boards at Qualcomm, Vertafore and AMR, American Airlines’ parent company. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate.
