Letter from the CEO: Taking Up New Opportunities
For many of us, the beginning of the year is filled with resolutions and plans to do better and break new ground. As a community foundation, we are also setting new goals.

Meet Jane Williams, Board Member and Professional Advisor
In 2005, 2006 and 2007, Jane was listed as one of the 100 Most Influential Business Women in the San Francisco Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times. A former member of the Peninsula Community Foundation board, she now serves on the Silicon Valley Community Foundation Board and chairs the donor outreach committee.Jane took a few minutes to share with us some of her thoughts on the important interplay among professional advisors, clients, charitable giving and the community foundation.

Changes and Additions to Our Board of Directors
Kicking off the new year, Silicon Valley Community Foundation announced Patricia Bresee as its newly appointed board chair. Additionally, Thomas J. Friel and Ivonne Montes de Oca have joined the board of directors.

New Resources for Professional Advisors!
