Introducing Bheesham Sethi
Vice President, Development
As vice president of development, Bheesham Sethi is responsible for developing the strategy and plan that seeks out and brings in new donors to Silicon Valley Community Foundation. He oversees individual giving, planned gifts, corporate donations and other fundraising efforts. Bheesham also works closely with the community foundation’s donor engagement department to manage the transition, process and relationship with donors.
Bheesham Sethi has more than 16 years of experience in institutional development and management, with key emphases in fundraising, financial management, grassroots organizing, staff management, and program planning and development. He most recently was the director of development at Common Sense Media.
Bheesham is originally from India and has a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in cultural anthropology from Punjab University, India. Prior to joining Silicon Valley Community Foundation, Bheesham worked for progressive regional and national issue-based nonprofits like PFLAG, Rebuilding Together, National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, National Environmental Trust and public radio, among others.
Bheesham manages the community foundation’s development department. One of the goals of the development staff is to help your clients fulfill their philanthropic dreams.
