SVCF's Donor Circle for the Arts awards grants to Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties-based arts organizations with budgets under $1 million in six different categories – theatre, music, dance, visual arts, media, and literary arts. All, or a portion of, the organization’s mission must be to serve an underserved population. Arts organizations must apply in order to be considered. More information

SJ Learns

The SJ Learns Extended Learning Initiative is an effort to expand after-school programs for children in kindergarten through grade three who are most in need of this investment. Working with the office of San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo, the SJ Learns Working Group – co-lead by SVCF CEO Emmett Carson – is developing a road map for the city’s investment in innovative after-school programs with support from foundations, corporate and other private sector partners. The goal is to increase the number of high-quality after-school programs for students in San José.

Santa Clara County Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals/Deferred Action for Parental Accountability (DACA/DAPA)

These grants will be awarded to organizations that address the need for reliable immigration legal services, outreach and education across Santa Clara County.
