This morning, San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo and Silicon Valley Community Foundation established a “San Jose Flood Victims Relief Fund” to help raise funds that can be used to provide assistance to the thousands of families affected by the severe flooding experienced in San Jose over the previous two days.

Donations can be made at

According to the mayor's office, by Wednesday afternoon a number of organizations and businesses had generously donated to this fund including:

  • Silicon Valley Auto Dealers Association - $100,000
  • San Francisco 49ers - $20,000
  • California Water Service - $10,000

In addition, PG&E generously pledged to match donations made to the fund, up to $20,000.

In a statement to the media, Mayor Liccardo said: “So many individuals, businesses and organizations throughout our community have offered their assistance and support to San Jose families impacted by this flooding. These generous donations have inspired me and demonstrate how our community has pulled together to address this emergency — reflecting the compassion, generosity and collaboration that makes San Jose our home.”
