We are pleased to share more news about the Innovation Conference! This one-of-a-kind conference, happening Oct. 9-11 in San Francisco, will bring together philanthropists, community foundations, private foundations and corporate responsibility professionals to learn how emerging technologies can be used for social good.
At the conference, we’ll dive deeper into how technology is transforming the areas of education, health, jobs and the economy, and big data — and how the philanthropic community can play a role.
We’re excited that many renowned leaders will be presenting at the Innovation Conference, including Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, pictured at right, United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN Women Program. Ms. Mlambo-Ngcuka has devoted her career to issues of human rights, equality and social justice. She holds a Ph.D. in education and technology, and is currently focused on providing better access to education for global communities of woman through technological means.
We're also looking forward to a panel discussion featuring three foundation leaders:
- Ian Bird - President of Community Foundations of Canada
- Sally Osberg - President and CEO of the Skoll Foundation
- Alberto Ibargüen - President and CEO of the Knight Foundation
Please note: The Innovation Conference is only open to private philanthropists and their philanthropy staff; program staff, executives and board members from community foundations, private foundations and corporate foundations; SVCF donor advised fund holders; and corporate responsibility professionals.
