SVCF will accept prosposals April 3-28 for a one-time grant opportunity for projects that help strengthen legal services for immigrants. Two grants of $100,000 each will be awarded to the winning proposals. 

Educators, nonprofit service providers, public-sector agencies, research institutions and other entities serving San Mateo and Santa Clara counties are invited to submit their best ideas to support legal services for immigrants. 

The goal of SVCF’s work in immigration has been to make strategic investments in programs that strengthen the legal services infrastructure in our region to ensure the provision of affordable and reliable legal services for immigrants. 

The intent of this special grantmaking initiative is to support new and innovative ideas aligned with our current approaches – legal services and Vocational English and English as a Second Language courses. The initiative will also support new ideas for diff erent approaches to creating opportunities for immigrants in our communities.

This grant opportunity is offered as part of SVCF's $1 million grant initiative in honor of our 10th anniversary.
