Before joining SVCF, Cordie was the Development Manager at Canary Foundation at Stanford University. Her team worked to fund research programs focused on blood-based biomarkers or biological ‘fingerprints’ that show the presence of disease. “I loved the science and visionary thinking that stood behind the work we helped to fund, it was a once in a lifetime experience.”
Prior to this, Cordie worked with the American Heart Association and the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Cordie also cares about humanitarian programs. She spent 1yr working with the Women’s Education and Development Association in Phuket, Thailand.
Cordie holds her bachelor’s in Business and Hospitality from UNLV and her master's in Business and Social Entrepreneurship from Pepperdine University, cum laude. In her free time, Cordie likes to paint, be outdoors, and write all about eco-sustainability issues on her blog.
