BELL (Building Educated Leaders for Life) Santa Clara Support for the Building Educated Leaders for Life program, which provides a five-week summer academic program to 300 students. Research-based, data-driven math curriculum is aligned with the Common Core standards and provides hands-on projects that allow students to explore math topics deeply. $60,000
Boys & Girls Club of the Coastside San Mateo Support for the Math Blasters Pilot, which would provide 30 students from Cuñha Intermediate School 12-week after school support and a four-week summer program for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students who fall below "Proficient." Program would provide each student one hour of math instruction per day with a certified math teacher and hands-on math projects. $20,000
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula (BGCP) San Mateo Support for the five-week Summer CNG Math Program, which will offer 80 middle school students in grades 6, 7 and 8 one hour of math instruction per day with a certified math teacher and hands-on math projects. $35,000
Citizen Schools California San Mateo Fourth-year support for the Expanded Day Program, which assists about 500 rising 6th and 7th grade students. This program offers academic practice, hands-on learning projects and apprenticeships to increase students’ preparation for algebra and geometry. $50,000
Daly City Peninsula Partnership Collaborative San Mateo Support for the Middle School Math Club pilot program, a math support and algebra readiness program for 75 lower performing 6th grade students. Includes 12 weeks of after-school programming in the spring and three hours a day during a four-week summer program. $25,000
Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley (HFSV) Santa Clara Support for the Stepping Up to Algebra Plus (SUTA+) program, which provides  Algebra I intervention for at least 425 8th grade students. Program provides direct instruction led by a credentialed teacher with a teaching assistant and classroom volunteers, interactive web-based learning tools and learning opportunities outside of the classroom. $35,000
José Valdés Math Institute Santa Clara Fifth-year support to serve 50 to 54 rising 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th grade students by providing them an intensive summer mathematics program, transportation to a college campus, year-round drop-in tutoring for students and professional development for teachers. $30,000
La Honda Pescadero Unified School District (LHPUSD) San Mateo Fifth-year support to provide a six-week intensive math summer program for 20 rising 7th, 8th and 9th graders whose mathematics proficiency is below grade level. The program will be coordinated by a school district middle school math teacher and the school principal and focus on power strands and mathematics language fluency. $20,000
Redwood City Education Foundation San Mateo Fourth-year support for the Pre-Algebra Summer Math Institute, which will provide 50 rising 6th and 7th graders a four-week long summer program for four hours per day. $35,000
San Mateo County Office of Education San Mateo Fifth-year support for the Summer Bridge to Algebra Success program (MAT), which seeks to improve the readiness of 120 lower performing rising 9th grade students for high school algebra. Program addresses essential algebra concepts as well as other factors necessary for students’ success. $70,000
Sequoia Union High School District San Mateo Support for the collaborative Tri-District Summer Math Institute, which seeks to provide a summer program for 90 rising 8th and 9th grade students from the Ravenswood and Redwood City school districts. In a 19-day program, students receive daily instruction in core math skills and concepts necessary to successfully complete Algebra I and progress to Geometry in high school.  $70,000
Silicon Valley Education Foundation Santa Clara Fifth-year support for the Stepping Up to Algebra Program (SUTA), an intensive 19-day summer skills-improvement program for 1,000 rising 8th grade school students in Santa Clara County who have scored at the upper "Below Basic," "Basic" and low "Proficient" level on the 6th grade math California Standards Test (CST) $75,000
The NHU Foundation Santa Clara Support for the collaborative Hands-on Algebra pilot project, which seeks to provide a summer bridge program for 60 Sunrise Middle School students that will feed into Latino College Preparatory Academy. $26,000
The San Francisco 49ers Academy San Mateo Fourth-year support for the 49ers Before-School Math Academy, a program focused on raising achievement in mathematics for 60 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students who have scored "Basic" and below on the California Standards Test. $35,000
