Citizen Schools California San Mateo and Santa Clara Support to provide high-quality, Common Core-aligned extended learning time that includes dedicated math instruction, homework support and project based STEM "apprenticeships" to effectively prepare more than 600 middle school students for algebra and geometry. $50,000
City Year San Jose/Silicon Valley Santa Clara Support to provide year-round after school learning opportunities in mathematics and English language arts to 120 6th grade students, by placing full-time, trained young adults in school every day to deliver additional programming. $35,000
Daly City Peninsula Partnership Collaborative San Mateo Support for the "Math Club - Navigate" program which seeks to provide remedial after-school math support and algebra readiness for 120 selected 6th and 7th grade students of color who are currently testing at the "below basic" and "basic" levels on the mathematics California Standards Test (CST). $25,000
Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley Santa Clara Support for its Stepping Up to Algebra Plus (SUTA+) project, which provides an Algebra I before/after or Saturday intervention program for at least 450 8th grade students (mostly Latino and English learners).  The program provides students with 50 additional hours of mathematics-specific support during the school year. $35,000

La Honda-Pescadero Unified School District San Mateo Support for the Math Camp, a six-week, five-day-a-week, six-hour-a-day intensive math summer camp for 20 under-served rising 7th and 8th graders. The program will focus on specific strands of the Common Core State Standards. $15,000
San Mateo County Office of Education San Mateo Support for the Summer Bridge to Algebra Success program, which is aimed at improving student readiness for high school algebra through a collaborative effort between the San Mateo High School District and two of its feeder districts. $50,000
Sequoia Union High School District San Mateo Support for the Tri-District Summer Math Institute, which provides 120 struggling middle grade students from two elementary school districts with a four- or five-week summer intervention program co-taught by middle and high school teacher teams. $50,000
Silicon Valley Education Foundation Santa Clara Support for the Stepping Up To Algebra Program (SUTA), an intensive 19-day summer mathematics skills-improvement program for 1,100 rising 8th grade students in Santa Clara County who have scored at the upper "below basic" or "basic" level on the 6th grade math California Standards Test (CST) to prepare them for Algebra I in the 8th grade. $75,000
St. James Community Foundation San Mateo Support for the Math Scholars Program, an after-school, six-week pilot program for 40 rising 6th and 7th grade students that focuses on gaining basic pre-algebra skills through targeted instruction, mentoring and parent education. $20,000
Sunrise Middle School Santa Clara Support to provide 150 students summer and after-school mathematics instruction using computer adaptive diagnostics to pinpoint student mathematical weaknesses, near-peer support from the Latino College Prep Academy and National Hispanic University students and guided by credentialed mathematics instructors. $25,000
Breakthrough Silicon Valley Santa Clara Support for the Breakthrough Middle School Math Program, which provides a six-week summer and after-school math program to 250 rising 7th-9th grade students to assure placement on college-track high school mathematics courses and increase four-year college attendance and college readiness. $50,000
THINK Together Santa Clara Support to provide 160 7th and 8th grade students four hours per week of additional instructional time in mathematics from certified teachers, after school for 30 weeks. Students will participate in a blended learning model by interacting with Common-Core-aligned instructional software three hours per day. $35,000
William C. Overfelt High School Santa Clara Support for the Camelot Summer Institute a summer bridge program to accelerate 260 incoming 9th graders into college-track high school mathematics courses to increase four-year college attendance and college readiness. $50,000
