This includes contributing to creating a unified, highly visible SVCF Scholarships Program and working with assigned donors to design new programs, managing the application and selection process, and delivering a world class experience to our donors.</div><div><br></div><div><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b></div><div>· Serve as SVCF’s primary representative to a portfolio of scholarship donors, cultivating and maintaining meaningful relationships, as assigned.</div><div>· Develop and maintain excellent relationships with assigned individual, non-profit, and corporate donors and deliver responsive, effective services to help them meet their goals for giving.</div><div>· Apply the community foundation’s policies, best practices in the field and legal rules for grants to individuals to provide strategic and tactical planning, implementation and evaluation services.</div><div>· Oversee all aspects of the annual scholarship process for assigned portfolio: provide strategic philanthropic planning, ensure all compliance-related processes are defined and followed, revise application materials and monitor the application and selection process of candidates and recipients.</div><div>· Connect donors with expert staff across the foundation (planned giving, grantmaking, investments, etc.) as appropriate to meet the needs of donors and further our mission of serving as a comprehensive center of philanthropy.</div><div>· Recruit and coordinate community volunteers who serve on the scholarship selection committees.</div><div>· Conduct volunteer orientation and recognition events.</div><div>· Make continuous improvements to the community foundation’s scholarships program to deliver a world-class experience to donors, students and volunteers.</div><div>· As assigned, speak publicly on behalf of the community foundation, and assist/support arrangements for other staff in doing presentations for the community foundation.</div><div>· Work with support staff to market scholarships to prospective applicants, schools and other organizations, process completed applications, notify applicants, donors and committee members of results and disburse scholarship payments.</div><div>· Work with SVCF’s development team to guide prospective donors in considering a scholarship program.</div><div>· Ensure follow-up support, as needed, to scholarship recipients by working with support staff and financial aid office personnel to make special arrangements for disbursements.</div><div>· Oversee the maintenance of an accurate database and all records for scholarships.</div><div>· Contribute to the work of the Community Impact Division, to advance its goals and work across the foundation.</div><div>· Assume customized philanthropy service assignments for scholarship donors including workflow reviews and task identification, as assigned.</div><div><br></div><div><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b></div><div>· Bachelor’s degree and five to seven years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience; degrees in Public Policy, Sociology, Health, Business, English or related discipline preferred; Master’s degree a plus.</div><div>· Background in or familiarity with scholarship administration or higher education.</div><div>· Excellent information technology skills.
