Manager of Corporate Responsibility
Julianne Brown graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with Bachelors of Fine Arts in both Architecture and Historic Preservation. Following her passion for community development, she continued her education at Georgia State University (GSU) where she earned her Masters in Heritage Preservation, focusing much of her studies on how restoration of local main streets and their mom and pop businesses helps promote not only economic growth but also encourages a strong sense of local community pride and spirit of place.
After graduating from GSU, Julianne returned to her home state of Indiana to work part time as the Preservation Coordinator for the City of Madison, Indiana while also pursuing her MA in Philanthropic Studies and Nonprofit Management from the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. Prior to joining SVCF, Julianne worked at Anthem Inc.’s Corporate Foundation in Indianapolis and the Annenberg Foundation in Los Angeles.
As a newbie to the Silicon Valley area, Julianne spends a lot of her free time exploring all that the area has to offer, including finding the best u-pick farms, hiking through the redwoods, attending sporting events, and testing out all the great restaurants. She is also an avid baker who is constantly looking for the next excuse to whip up a tasty treat.
