Leticia Gonzalez

Project Manager, Movement and Power Building

Leticia Gonzalez is the Family Engagement Manager for the Center for Early Learning. In this role, Leticia researches strategies to significantly improve student achievement through family engagement. She seeks partnerships with organizations interested in strengthening the home-school connection.

Since 2015 Leticia has implemented Raising A Reader in partnership with Big Lift preschools, serving nearly two thousand children in San Mateo County.  Raising A Reader is an evidence-based family engagement strategy that helps parents create rich learning environments in the home.  Leticia employs a train-the-trainer approach as a way to build teachers capacity to engage families directly.

Leticia received her bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and has a law degree from the University of Santa Maria in Caracas, Venezuela.

Leticia has a passion for experiencing world cultures and food, which she expresses through traveling and cooking.  She holds a degree in Culinary Arts from the California Culinary Academy-Le Cordon Blue, San Francisco.  Leticia currently lives in the Peninsula with her daughter Maia and her husband Boris.
