Project Manager, Movement- and Power-Building

Leticia is the Project Manager for Movement- and Power-Building.  In this role, Leticia supports grantmaking strategies and partnerships with organizations that help to build community and power, to promote a just, equitable and inclusive Silicon Valley. Leticia is an advocate for trust-based philanthropy and supports efforts to achieve systemic change on issues of racial and economic justice.

Prior to joining the Community Action team in 2020, Leticia spent five years implementing Family Engagement strategies for The Big Lift, a collective impact initiative working to increase third grade reading proficiency levels in under-resourced zip codes of San Mateo County.  Leticia brings 15 years of experience in small nonprofits supporting families in communities of color in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.

Leticia received her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and has a law degree from the University of Santa Maria in Caracas, Venezuela.  She lives in the Peninsula with her daughter Maia and her husband Boris. Leticia is passionate about celebrating the diversity, world cultures and food of the Bay Area. On weekends you may find her in her kitchen cooking with her daughter or riding her bike up around the Bay Area.
