Mei provides strategic operational and administrative support to advance the work of the Center. She ensures consistency of operations across the team and manages the Center’s internal processes, internal/external communication flow, department budgeting and leads all community and donor events hosted by the Center.
Mei has a certification in project management from Stanford University and also holds a master's degree in education from San Jose State University. During her graduate studies, she was accepted into the UC Berkeley Center for Educational Partnerships Fellowship Program. Through her graduate fellowship, she was given an opportunity to provide college access and counseling support to low-income, at-risk middle school and high school students around the Bay Area.
Mei is passionate about using education, research and advocacy to create more opportunities for under-resourced students and their families. In addition to her work in public education, she has over ten years of experience managing projects and events. Mei also volunteers as a mentor at a local nonprofit that is dedicated to empowering young, diverse leaders on their path to college graduation, meaningful careers and lives of impact.
