Executive Vice President, Philanthropy
As Executive Vice President, Philanthropy, Misti is responsible for developing the vision and direction of SVCF’s excellent customer service to our donors, corporate clients and supporting organizations in achieving their charitable goals. She leads a team of approximately eighty staff whose service areas include: corporate responsibility, development, and donor engagement and services. She and her team work closely with donors to deepen their learning, giving and engagement with issues that reflect their values.
Misti joined SVCF in 2010 and was most recently the vice president of the donor experience and engagement division. During her tenure at SVCF, she launched the Donor Circle for Africa and played a key role in deepening engagement opportunities for SVCF’s donor family. A seasoned professional, Misti has devoted her career to championing, funding and building non-profit groups that work to better their communities. She finds joy in helping build enduring relationships between donors and the organizations they support.
Prior to joining the community foundation, she was the executive director of the Foundation for Sustainable Development. Previously, Misti served as the vice president of programs and evaluation at the Global Fund for Women.
Misti holds an M.A. in international relations from Boston University and a B.A. in international relations and political science from the University of Southern California. She serves on the Board of the Bullis-Purissima Elementary School Foundation (BPESF) and previously served on the Board of Directors of the Community Health Awareness Council (CHAC).
Misti lives in Los Altos with her husband, two daughters, and golden retriever. She loves to travel, cook, and treasures her time with her family.
