Director of Donor Engagement
As Director of Donor Engagement, Rachel leads one of SVCF’s donor-facing teams, working with donors to develop, refine, and implement their philanthropic goals while advancing best practices in grantmaking and charitable giving.
Rachel is an experienced relationship manager with expertise in the nonprofit and higher education sectors. Prior to joining SVCF, she served as Director of Development for Alonzo King LINES Ballet, where she oversaw fundraising strategy, board and donor engagement and the growth of charitable partnerships. She also served as Associate Director of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s first campus-wide arts initiative, Arts Everywhere. In this role, Rachel collaborated with partners to develop a shared vision for the arts at Carolina and launch a $350M fundraising campaign. Her career in development and donor engagement also includes positions at Carolina Performing Arts and the North Carolina Symphony.
Rachel is a North Carolina native. She holds a B.A.in English and Dance from Barnard College.
