Community Investment Manager

Woubzena Jifar As SVCF’s Community Investment Manager, Woubzena works closely with the Director of Community Investment to facilitate connections between donors and the community to increase giving and philanthropic engagement in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties.

Prior to joining SVCF, Woubzena worked at Arabella Advisors’ San Francisco office as an Associate Director. In this role, she helped individuals and families realize their philanthropic goals through grantmaking strategies, program planning and effective governance. Before joining Arabella Advisors, she worked as a program officer at Wikimedia Foundation, leading the organization’s second largest grantmaking program. Woubzena led the Simple Annual Plan Grants program strategy and helped groups and organizations build operational capacity. Locally, she’s worked with the Stanford Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society (Stanford PACS) where she applied design thinking to develop tools to support donors in their philanthropic strategies.

Woubzena graduated from Stanford University with a BA in Anthropology and she also holds an MA in African Studies from UCLA.
